Barton Seagrave Primary School

'Educating Children to Confidently Face the Future'

Hello Everyone,

We hope you are enjoying the activities we have shared with you and are finding fun things to do with your families. Whilst outside enjoying your gardens or when on a walk in the local area, please take the opportunity to look closely at the features, plants and animals in the environment. How are the plants changing? Can you name and describe the animals, birds, mini-beasts you see?

Please try to share a book with your family every day. It could be a book on Bug Club, your school reading books or your favourite story. Remember to look for the sounds/special friends hiding in the words and look for keywords you know in the text. You could also choose a new word to find each day from the keywords we sent home.

Mr Malloy is setting a daily P.E. challenge for you to try. They are great fun and the teachers are all having a go too! The videos are on the school Twitter feed and on this website under Parents if you have not seen them yet. We are sure lots of you are also enjoying doing a special P.E. session with Joe Wicks every morning!

We hope you have been able to login to Bug Club, Study Ladder and the daily RWInc online phonic sessions as these will help you to practice your reading, spelling and number skills. Please let us know if you are having any problems accessing these.

We would love to hear from you even if it is just to say hello. Please email us using the Teachers emails you have been provided with.

Have fun, stay active and keep learning. We look forward to hearing from you soon,

Mrs Hillman, Mrs Reece, Mrs Piggin,

Mrs Bason and Mrs Denton
